Ok fellow fathers, I am going to draw up a different route or plan of action on this for you, its one I have personally used and it has worked for 2 children so far. If your baby is constantly crying here are the 5 things I can be, run it like a checklist. 1. Is the baby hungry? (infants need to eat every 2-3 hours, you can also look for visible signs your baby is hungry, the mouth is a good indicator) 2. Does the baby have a dirty diaper? (Babies will go through diapers faster than a quad turbo V16 running on nitromethane, no joke) 3. Has the baby been held recently? (Babies love skin on skin contact or at least laying against your chest to hear your heartbeat, this is what they heard in the womb) 4. Has the baby been burped? (This should be done after every meal, gently pat the bottom and they will burp after a short bit, imagine if you didn't know how to burp and you felt all that gas built up inside you, it would be pretty irritating). 5. Is the baby sick? (This should be self explanatory but if the baby is sick they will likely cry more often as they are not feeling well, use whatever meds the pediatrician has prescribed and do the best you can). Bonus Tip: If you are using formula over breastmilk expect to burp the baby more often, the formula will still hit the babies stomach harder than breastmilk will despite advances in baby formula over the decades. If you follow this checklist, there is a damn good chance you will get 1-2 hours of peace and quiet during each "cycle" in the infant stage, that might not sound like a lot but that's at least better than some people saying they were lucky to get 30 minutes.

My baby has intense gas pains. He's also teething. It is impossible to sleep at night. I definitely shake my leg fast. Even this is not enough. Exactly. I ran across this doing research for a project I am working on about disabilities and the perception of disability by those with out them. I have monocular vision, and am legally blind, moderately hard of hearing, autistic, and have epilepsy. I am the mother of an 8 year old with ASD, and I just can’t imagine doing this out of frustration. If you need help, ask for it. And if you know you’re not capable of caring for the child for whatever reason, there are people who would love to have a child of their own but may not be able to conceive for whatever reason.

I work as a toddler teacher and I do get frustrated with the babies. I would never shake them or be aggressive with them. I’ve worked with kids for 12 years and I’ve never shake a child like that.

thank you for making this, i had no idea this was a thing, we watched this in high school during a child development class, i cried when i saw this and cried even more when they brought in the shaken infant simulator, a life size baby doll with a clear plastic head and a visible brain, when you turned the simulator on it would cry until you shake it hard enough that it kills the simulator. i could not shake the simulator, i could not do it i just held it and cried knowing how many little lives had to die to make this simulator a thing

What about personal protective equipment. Your wearing rubber gloves and a short sleeve shirt. Not to mention your not wearing a face shield. The next seen was talking about rabies.
